NEW DELHI: Broadcast tribunal, TDSAT on Monday restrained Maran brothers-owned Channel Plus from disconnecting the signals of Sun TV network to Tamil Nadu-based MSO till further orders.
Admitting the application of the MSO Jak Communications, TDSAT Chairman, Justice Arun Kumar directed Channel Plus, a unit of Sun TV, not to disconnect or deactivate its signals on the alleged ground of piracy of its channels.
“I direct the respondent not to disconnect or deactivate supply of signals of SUN TV network till further orders,'' he said.
Meanwhile, agreeing with the allegations levelled by the MSO that Channel Plus was trying to disconnect it on false grounds of piracy, TDSAT said that issue of alleged piracy was raked up by Channel Plus only recently with a view to disconnecting signals . - PTI
