Today I got my nexus. But it has an US type plug point..when I try to charge the tab ,its charging alright but the charger is getting very heated up. Is there any where I can buy an charger with indian plug point for nexus 7?

A little bit of heat generated by charger is normal. These chargers work with voltages ranging from 110 – 230v. The same would be written on it too.You can get a converter socket for 50 bucks. Here's mine which I use for my Nexus 4 charger.

Heat dissipation is expected but its getting quite heated up. Tablet is in normal temp but damn charger is heating up. I wonder how much an charger with indian plug would cost

You charger would be a 2amp one I suppose. I tried searching on ebay/flipkart, couldn't find any branded chargers.
Perhaps wait for admin/manu's input as both of them have Nexus 7.

My charger doesn't get heated at all. Maybe its a problem with your charger. you can try this if you are feeling adventurous.

Which type of charger did you get? Indian 3 pin plug or US two pin?

Iam currently using this type of converter only.

Offtopic: Wow ..I was at kfc for around half an hour and Wi-fi was enabled on tab. N7 automatically downloaded 4.2.2. and was bugging me to install. Installed it and now OS is 4..2.2

Mine is the regular US pin type too. I use it with an adapter and have seen no heating problems. It does charge through microusb port on my computer but hilariously slow. I doubt using your phone's charger would hurt it's battery. Just would charge it slow.
