Cheap USB GSM data card

I am planning to purchase an USB GSM modem / data card.So I was wondering if there are cheaper cards available in market.Requirements:1) Operator indepedent, i.e. provision to insert any SIM card2) Works on USB electricity i.e. requires no battery3) Supports atleast EDGE (3G support I guess wud be costlier)4) Even chinese model will do for me!We get mobiles with modem capabilities in just 2500Rs.Whereas these cardsDont have speakers or microphonesDont have battery or chargerDont have screen/display/buttonsDont have any storage capacity and features like addressbook/gamesI wonder why then these data cards cost above 3000Rs?

You have good deals in ebay which is shipping from China. They would cost around Rs 2500 -3000. You can check there

Hi thanks, it looks good but 3000Rs is high priced for me!Need it only for rare occasions. It appears that price is high because of 3G support and also because it was unlocked.I am looking for something in range 1000 or 1500, else buying new mobile phone wud be the better option.

You would get cards without 3g for cheaper rates. Check out ebay itself. CDMA cards are more easily available
