hmm...is this even a good buy right now with new Nexus, which will be launched at the same price ( they may delay the dam launch though ) since our prices did not go down

New nexus may not be launched at the same price. Also price cut is in select markets. Google doesn't even sell it here through play store. Getting it through someone from abroad is still a good deal imo. The phone works well enough for me after 7 months

nexus 4, 8 gb gon out of stock on play store, hmm..Nexus 5 soon ?
In India its still over 20k for 16gb current one would suck if one has new model at same price in less than 4 months

Actually there is no end to this rut . you can never have the best thing around unless you change phones every 6 months.

I am quite happy with the performance of my Galaxy Nexus these days. Except for the battery life which has gone to shits after 4.3 update.

^^ can't expect too much from a phone that is two years old. May be a lighter 4.4 update will get it back to life. You have the advantage of a removable battery too

I'm planning to go back to 4.1.2. Used to get 4 hours of screen on time on most occasions and the battery EASILY survived an entire day for me.Not even close to that since 4.2.

That's the advantage of android. Run whatever you like.Sometimes I wonder why make a fuss about battery life unless you are those outdoor kinds who don't have access to a charger. If you work indoors might as well get a charger for office and keep the battery charged !
