Citibank was my main bank for last 10 years as it is also my Salary Account. My main Credit card is also Indian Oil Citibank card.
Not sure what will happen to these 2 services.
Few years back my organization had asked employees to move Salary account to HSBC, but nobody opted then.

Its a sale - so they will continue to be serviced by them till the sale by them & then the other party takes over.

Maybe for some more time the buyer will keep the same rules - before integrating the customers into their existing stuff or creates new setup for the old Citi customers.

Reminded me of the ABN AMRO (Dutch) bank exit some years ago, they sold to RBS (royal Bank of Scotland) and accounts were migrated.

Right. Not the first time this is happening. And more recently we have seen Laxmi Vilas taken over by DBS - though the circumstances are different. But the net effect will probably be something similar.

RBS I think was there for a decade or maybe slightly less in the consumer business in India - Now even the global company has renamed itself to Natwest.
