click sound from router

i have been hearing a sound almost like a click from inside the router..previously i thought that i am hearing things..but its not the case..there really is a click sound from the router almost like some one inside is throwing a switch...on/offit happens every 1/2 hr or so...is there something wrong with my router...i am using a airtel 220bx adsl2+ modem/routerthanking you please advice..

i have heard similar sound sometimes from my modem too.it probably is due to some contraction/expansion in the plastic body due to temp. changes.

thankyou whitestar..that may be the case... i was really afraid...if anything happens i have to buy a new modem....
