I am closing my Airtel prepaid Xtreme fiber connection (due to bad connection issue with gaming server )
My question is as this is prepaid one , will I have to return the router ,i have sercomm aot router.
Also ,can I just not recharge the connection and let Airtel close the connection ..

if you request for disconnection of connection and want to terminate it, you'll need to return router.
if you have prepaid connection then if you don't recharge the connection, your connection will remain inactive without any additional charge. The connection will only work after you recharge the connection.
It's only in postpaid that you have to keep paying bills or have it in safe custody.

@Harmanpreet thankx !!I have prepaid connection
How long can I keep it inactive??

Also if I request for closure will I get any money back ? I don't remember if there was any security money was involved or not

@uniquePerson The gaming issue you're facing is due to bad routing. Many Airtel xstream users are facing these latency problems. Surprisingly, this is only limited to Airtel's own FTTH users (ASN: AS24560). Any broadband provider using Airtel's backbone (AS9498) is not facing this.

6 months in my case without any recharge. They do ask for their device back in my case through a third party courier.
