So my local cold pressed juice shop closed due to well high rental and low customer base. I liked it enough to consider buying a budget cold pressed juicer. I checked out Philips model at Vijay Sales and it seems like crap. Amazon has two brand recommendations in the under 20K segment Hurom and Kuvings. The juice shop used the based model from Kuvings and it seems to be pretty nice. Hurom base model is slightly cheaper. Reviews of both products are generally positive. Kuvings model has some negatives as it seems to grind seeds of oranges resulting in slightly bitter juice as a result.

Was just wondering if anyone here has any recommendations in the under 20K segment. I cannot really justify getting a 40k+ model for something that would probably not get utilized much in the end!

I guess it’s time to post a small experience update. Overall, I am quite happy with this product. There are a couple of issues though. I have not been able to find a good way to keep the waste extractor unblocked during juicing. So I end up with a lot of unused pulp stuck at the upper side of the crusher. Because it gets full of crushed fruit and refuse to accept fresh content from the top.

Kuvings people gave me some tips but nothing seems to help. Maybe I am expecting a bit too much with this product. The other small issue is that cleaning takes a while. Even if your waste extractor is not blocked.

Juice is also not very pulpy as the metal grid is very fine. There are two separate attachments you can purchase but they are not aimed at making pulpy juice. So if you are looking for pulpy juice, this is not a good option.
