At one time DirecTV in US did provide internet but the problem was that at that time due to the technological limitations, only the download speed was good. For uploading they still used dialup on the STB.
well going by the way big tv signals get affected by the rain i dont think users will opt for it.if they launch iptv in bangalore i wil mostly switch over to that, unlike dth where amount of transponders plays a vittal role in number of channels and quality, iptv has no such limits ,upgrading their broadband equipment is alot cheaper then launching a sattelite or leasing transponders
It will be good, but as of now big tv already has issues on DTH, clubbing both together as of now would make things worse, first they need to fix DTH, then concentrate on internet through stb
Thanx guys! Looks like internet thru DTH is just another publicity stunt. It seems for broadband we have to grin and bear this monopolistic, arrogant BSNL. If any internet that comes from the sky it has to be from God till then we have to rely on phone line.
well its just their plan ,and going by the way the signal cuts during rain,i dont think it will be a hit and the CC cant even handle the problems associated with the existing service, and who knows what crappy STB they might give for that.
