Hi Guys,

I STOPPED using Airtel's DATA SERVICE after they stopped AIRTEL ONLINE 99/pm pack.

Just to give a try, I used Mobile_Office & found NO SPEED DIFFERENCE between Airtel Online (Rs.99/mnth) Plan & Mobile_Office Plan(Rs.399/mnth for 100MB). Speed is floating between 48kbps to 92kbps)
Only the great difference is COST :|

--------------------- Tariff/Service Comparison ------------------------

1) AIRTEL MOBILE OFFICE @ Rs.399/month (100MB Usage):
POP3/HTTP Mail Access, Messenger(IM) Service, PC Connectivity..etc..
ISP Backbone: OWN (AIRTEL)
SOURCE: Airtel Website (Click for Direct Link)

2) AIRCEL POCKET INTERNET @ Rs.98/month (UNLIMITED)
POP3/HTTP Access, Messenger(IM)Service, PC Connectivity..etc..
ISP Backbone: Dishnet (Chennai)
SOURCE: Aircel Website

3) TATA DOCOMO GPRS @ Rs.95/month (100MB Usage)
POP3/HTTP Access, Messenger(IM)Service, PC Connectivity..etc..
ISP Backbone: VSNL (Mumbai)
SOURCE: TATA DOCOMO WEBSITE (Click here for Direct Link)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried Aircel's Pocket Internet @ Rs.98/mnth(UNLIMITED) & found satisfactory SPEED with same Service (POP3 access, PC connectivity..etc).
I even configured GMAIL & HOTMAIL successfully to access my mails directly to my Mobile's INBOX.
Speed is almost floating between 36kbps to 64kbps)

Finally I tried TATA DOCOMO & found, it really ROCKZZZZZZ. :iplay:
Speed is awesome 64kbps to 119kbps.
Off course, this too supports all features like POP3/IMAP/HTTP, PC connectivity..etc.

Today I've purchased "Micromax Q3" DUAL_SIM handset (with JAVA support & OPERA MINI Pre-Installed) & using my AIRTEL SIM only for Voice Calls & DOCOMO SIM for Mails/Browsing & also for short duration voice calls(bcoz of 1paisa/sec tariff).

I'm desperately waiting for Mobile number portability (MNP) to come in action, So that we can move to any mobile operator without changing our existing mobile number. But don't know why the hell TRAI is NOT forcing mobile operators to implement this.

SO GUYS, WILL YOU PEOPLE STILL STICKING WITH MOBILE OFFICE OR wanna save SOME MONEY ON GPRS BILL:readtherules:???

Well now u r tempting me to take up Docomo's GPRS pack..

ya tatadocomo gprs is very good and also the price and speed.i am trying to get the sim.as i still using airtel 30ps/50kb:frown:

good concept... same Mobile no. to switch over the Mobile Operators.... if TRAI involves in this we can rock....:pleasehelp:
