Configure Netgear Router(JWNR 2000) with UTSTAR 304R2

Ok friends here's the problem...I purchased this router yesterday Netgear(JWNR 2000)...I have upgraded the firmware of this router yesterday itself from NETGEAR's site...I was previously using UTSTAR 304R2...was working fine till then...But now i decided to go wireless and purchased this router..I have configured accordingly as per Setup CD..but i can't make it to work ...Every light is lit up in the modem as well as router..but i am unable to connect to the internet both by LAN and wirelessly...I am a noob at networking...so plz guide me for the setup.:ishock:Big thx in advance.

Check that the the router & computer/s are using the same SSID also check that the router & computers are using the same wifi protocol 802.11b/g/n. See if this can help you,

even though the make is different the fundas are same.

BTW: Why did you update the firmware before you got the router working successfully?

Nope the router didn't successfully worked before also ...so i thought may be upgrading the firmware would help...but it didn't

Good for you , I hope you are using WPA2 security in conjunction with MAC filters. And also a strong password.

I agree with totally. My friend got a Netgear WGR 614 N150 wifi router today, we got stuck at one point in the installation so I called up the toll free number mentioned in a post above & the gentleman (Bhushan) sorted out in a few minutes.
