Configurning DSL-2640T for Airtel Broadband

Hey I use the Home Combo 1299 2 Mbps connection. I recieved a beetel 110BX1 ADSL modem with the connection. Previously I used a DSL-2640T router modem with BSNL connection. I tried configuring the 2640 modem for the airtel connection but it doesnt work. Did anyone else have a similar problem? If anyone has successfully configured the 2640 modem with airtel broadband, please help me. I did a factory reset on the 2640 modem and then run the setup. I even tried to set it up manualy. Here are the settings I followed - VPI: 1VCI: 32Encap: PPPoE LLC Thanks!

(a)Are you using Dialer(Bridged") mode
The changes you made VPI/VCI Ok 1 and 32.

(b)or "Always On ( PPP/PPPoE) mode. ?
Deselect "Bridged" Select PPP/PPPoE
enter UserId and PW for airtel . Save and reboot. ( VPI/VCI 1 and 32)
You may change DNS to opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222.


(c)2640 is 3 in 1 modem/router. will post details later.

(d)Do you get connected via 110BX1 for Airtel ISP ?

(e)Presume you need the WIFI facility. Confirm
