Cordless phone for Jio Fiber connection with Caller ID support

Hello everyone , I am facing the same issue. My Panasonic Cordless (bought from US) does not show Caller ID on Jio FIber line but it shows when connected to Airtel. Over JioFiber I am connecting RJ11 directly to Router port of RJ11 and phone. Jio Helpdesk sucks they have no idea what they speak. People mentioned DTMF converters but I do not find them anymore over websites and moreover not sure if these converters even work or not.

Please help if somebody encountered this problem and resolved it ?

Have you got the right cordless landline phone that have caller id function for jio/airtel fiber yet?

At least airtel fiber seems to support both caller id standard now. On ADSL I had to use a converter to get caller id on imported cordless model.

Looking to buy a cordless phone, it will be used by elderly people. So good loud voice quality is a must and should be simple, reliable.

Found this model with okay reviews Amazon.in

All beetle or Panasonic models looks kinda same. Any suggestions?

I did buy a Dect 6 Panasonic cordless phone last year iirc from Amazon. The annoying thing was that the seller had a listing for some other model but shipped something else. I think the state of imported cordless phones is that they put on a generic listing but ship whatever is in stock. The unit I got was Dect 6 so I did not raise a complaint but it was definitely not the phone I wanted to get. It has some issues but finding good cordless phones is so annoying, I stopped caring about it.

So yeah, I am guessing if you order from the above link, it's likely to be a similar case and you might get something completely different from what appears in the listing.

Also just remembered that the phone was in some european or midden eastern language and it took me some effort to get it to english because the manual had nothing and I just got lucky to find some online post that had the exact route to change the language to english.

Thoughts on corded phone with a long RJ11 cable?
something like this Amazon.in with a long cable for flexibility?

Btw how long batteries work on cordless phones?

they use rechargeables and they last for 4-5 years easy. the dock recharges the batteries.

as for corded phone, you would have to decide if it is an option for you 🤷‍♂️

Hijacking an old thread.

I had returned my Panasonic KX-TG3611SXM cordless landline phone back in 2022, because of low earpiece volume. In that phone, whenever a call used to come, it used to be prefixed with "0091xxxxxxxx," and dialing back had no issues.

Recently, I bought a Beetel M71N corded landline phone, and noticed that whenever any call comes, it shows the prefix as "091xxxxxxx" instead of "0091xxxxxxx," and hence when you call it back from the call history, it says, "The dialed number is invalid." And the only way to resolve it is to add another 0 as prefix again, that is, to make it become "0091xxxxxxx" and only then the call goes through. So, I had to return it.

Then got the Beetel M25 phone, which I really liked. However, it suffered from the same issue—redialing was a pain. And you couldn't even edit a number from the call history before dialing.

Is it a phone-specific issue or some recent firmware upgrade of JioFiber ruined it for the Caller ID service? Also, any specific model recommendations with which I won't experience this issue?
