Hi guys, this is my first post here and I am in search of procedures to set up Airport!Well, I want to setup an Airport Connection with the BSNL Router WA3002-g1 and I don't have a Airport Express card. My ethernet card is Based on Realtek 8139 chipset and my router is also connected via ethernet port. Being a noob on this regard, I just know that Airport is some kind of Wi Fi access for MAC OS X. How can I set up the connection ? If I have to buy some other hardwares then please specify.I am running MAC OS X 10.5.1Please help me here.

With bsnl Router WA3002-g1.......
setup a Airport connection in MAC OS X Leopard.
setup a Wi Fi connection between my Laptop and the MAC
What is Airport connection ? You mean "Access Point " ?

I have both Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 Dual Band 802.11a/g 54Mbps Wireless Mini Card and Intel 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini-Card in my two laptops. :)

What is Airport connection ? You mean "Access Point " ?
I am also confused with the whole idea as I don't know whether the router in my MAC is a base station or an access point. Please clarify my views.

BTW I want to know that can I be able to use the Wi Fi capable router as a base station for MAC ?

WA3002-g1 (Type-II) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
Follow instructions and your laptop should work in wireless mode.
I use Xp Pro Sp2. Wait for some MAC OS users to guide you ,
if above set up does not work/needs modification.
Para two : I am also confused
same case here !
As I understand you are using the term "laptop" and "MAC" interchanged.
Your laptop has a MAC OS X operating system instead of usual Windows Xp or Vista.
1.You set up WaG3002-g1 to laptop ethernet port for Internet surfing. .
Program modem/laptop and test.
2. Now program to make both laptops Wireless without any connection.(Presume these Intel cards are fixed in the left hand side of your laptops ).
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the link to the instruction page but that did not solve my problem in MAC at all. I think I have to wait for some MAC users here to respond and answer my questions. :ashamed:

Sorry. Basically if you can access the modem settings page in your browser
( say camilla or safari ?) there could be some progress. Try.

It is Camino not Camilla or something. BTW I discovered that Airport is a proprietary Apple Product and cannot be used with other things unless I buy it. I think I was just looking for the File Sharing instead. :) :P
