Credit Card Recharge not available on HSBC & Standard Charted Credit cards?

Today when I called Bigtv CC for information on recharge the person told me that I can not recharge my account with a HSBC or Standard Charted Bank Visa Credit Card. Is this true?I guess credit cards payment does not depend on bank. You only will have to the payment through a particular Banks gateway (eg for Visa cards HDFC & ICICI gateways) . Please correct me if I am wrong.Has anybody done payments for Big tv using any of these two cards?
