CrowdStrike causes widespread BSOD crashes on Windows PCs globally

The audacity of mentioning free trial of their product at the bottom. Also, they were heavily criticized for not apologising so they had to post an update with it. Lol

The CEO ever apologised on twitter either.
 
Unfortunately, I am late to the party.

So, the place I work at is completely surrounded by foreign banks, and they were all going back home today.
We ourselves had the same issue, with everything down from Intune, AD servers and all the contents that is being hosted on MS Servers as well.

The rollback updates pushed can not work as the system do not even boot and hence required manually to either delete or rename the CrowdStrike faulty driver in-order for Windows to skip it during boot and start normally.

One of our clients who is really huge (globally) got the CrowdStrike CTO on call, and they were among the first ones who got their system issues resolved by 10AM.

Finally, we were online by 3PM.

Systems that might NOT have their automatic update times set between midnight and dawn were surprisingly unaffected, as by that time all updates were stopped.

lol.. now all will say he brought bad luck from McAfee to Crowdstrike. (edit looks like he is a founder).
