Cyanogen Inc. is now Andrasta

OS-maker Cyanogen has partnered with Truecaller to make the caller ID and blocking service app as its default native dialer app. The platform will roll out this integration in future OTA updates for OnePlus One and YUREKA users, as well as integrate it in future smartphones that come preloaded with Cyanogen OS. The feature will also be integrated in upcoming versions of the OS and will be available for all users across the globe.

Cyanogen mentions that users will be able to uninstall the app if they do not want to use it. Interestingly, according to this VentureBeat report, the OS will first confirm if the user wants to integrate Truecaller before activating the feature, which is strictly opt-in. This is essential, as Truecaller collects data including contact details in the user’s phonebook, the user’s profile info and email address by default.

MIUI does not have any positive, it hangs a lot, RAM consumption is very high despite lesser no. of apps in phone. It eats battery very fast.

MIUI looks good. Cyanogen looks almost stock with few cyanogen apps replacing googles' apps like camera.

Miui has horrible ram management and battery management compared to stock. Ive got 3~4hrs on OnePlus one on miui with wifi on whole time whereas I get 7+ hrs screen on time consistently on cyanogen.

Dad who used moto e and then shifted to Redmi complains the battery is not as good as moto e. Being new to android, he uses a lot of apps like NDTV TOI newshunt ccleaner which stay on memory and keep on draining battery.

multi tasking on miui with one gb ram is simply not possible. Open reddit, use for few mins, then open any other app like camera and again if you go back to reddit, it redraws the whole page. Thats frustrating. xiaomis cameras generally have better cameras compared to competitiors especially under 10k segment.
