they had a wonderful opportunity to make money through such partnerships. charge for software support from companies for optimizing the OS for their different models. but they fucked it up royally. end result is that most manufacturers offer poor software support on their own devices which means that everyone suffers.

They even killed Focal!! Which was very popular.

They even tried to take over copyright of Focal by cheating.

Also terms and conditions of code submission highly favoured them.

That all gave it away.
