Dont know if this is a temporary thing or if there is a problem, but I just got here and downloaded the plugin and installed it with Firefox and it refuses to connect up and download the details.
I am a new BB user with MTNL and i have a username that is suffixed with the @a in the end. When i visited the MTNL site, they asked to click on a link that took me to http://59.185.101.2:10080/jsp/Login.jsp and it failed to load that page as well.
So, my guesses are as good as yours. I am assuming the server is down right now for that site and thats the reason DataFOX is not logging in.
I use MTNL broadband at office and home. At both places, I have Firefox 3.5.3 and DataFox 1.7.5 installed. In office datafox is working superbly. But at home i am unable to use it. At home i can access my data usage by logging to http://59.185.101.2:10080/jsp/Login.jsp However, i can't access my usage thru' datafox. It shows "NaNMB" in status bar or red cross icon. The username is "TelephoneNumber@a". Can you please me configure this.
Datafox was previously working at home on firefox older version few weeks back. But i don't remember which version.
About 6 months ago DataFox stopped functioning for MTNL Bombay users with @ in their usernames. DataFox 1.9 was released 2 weeks ago which should fix this problem.
brian is actually in gurgaon these days. i do not think he has discarded this project. if it is not working, he would probably try to fix it out though he would need help from an account holder.
That's nice to hear. I'm trying to use it on Firefox and it doesn't seem to be working, and I'm a dev myself. If he's reading, I'm willing to help out with my account details, and testing etc.
