Excellent essay by William Dalrymple. Firstpost analysed the same essay, here is the link. What I am worried about is why does our main stream media does not focus more on our international policy issues? People of India should know and debate about this. Instead we give lot of coverage to dumb issues. I am not saying that media does not do that at all but that is not the main policy. It can be argued that the other issues attract more TRPs, but India-Pak-Af is a very very interesting subject and definitely has a shot at competing with other stories in the TRP game.
