The ISPs, BT, Virgin, Orange, Tiscali, BSkyB and Carphone Warehouse, have agreed to help the music industry clamp down on the illegal sharing of music via the Internet. The process is believed to begin with thousands of letters being sent to customers suspected of music piracy.

they are all implementing 3 stike rules proposed by France.Soon this would be common all over the world and the final blow would come when isps' have a tv like subscription system where you can only surf selected websites


yeah why dont they ban search engines cuz they show xxx content which is illegal or better yet why dosent the govt ban air travel and sea travel cuz smugglers use them to supply drugs.

curbing piracy my a$$.:mad:.these measures are blatantly against privacy and freedom.
corporates know that internet has overtaken Tv in entertainment and over 60% content in the internet is user generated. and not corporations.

well this wud happen to certain extent but not completely as the consumers wud start objecting, this is something which wud affect each and every internet user.plus see comcast ruling in USA, it just manipulated the traffic (not even block anything) and even then its being punished.
