I’m planning to use my Jio 5G SIM as a home internet source for unlimited data. Since the unlimited benefit applies only on 5G, I want to find the best way to set this up as a router.
I’m interested in recommendations for devices, be it phones, 5G CPEs, or routers, that work well with Jio 5G SIM and provide stable, unlimited 5G connectivity.
I’ve noticed that most dedicated 5G CPE devices tend to be quite expensive, upwards of 20k. So are there any affordable alternatives or workarounds that people are successfully using? I also heard there's a TTL issue with CPE devices.
My last option would be to buy a cheap 5g phone USB tether it to my Raspberry Pi 4, connect it to my Archer C1200 router to work as a switch.
Any advice on device choices, configurations, or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!
