Nope, your BSNL line is ADSL, Dial up is different (limited to 56kbps).

oh so it means that there is actually no dialup feature in this adsl line now ? or should i use splitter so i can get only the phone line with no broadband in it ?? actually now i use directly to modem with no splitter. i know dialup is slower. but just wanted to see if it works .curious thats all :))

It would need a dialup type modem right?
Plus you dial a number to connect with login and password. I doubt any company still has dialup services operational in the country these days. Where would you even connect? Dialup works on landline. You don't need a landline from any specific provider.

Assuming faxes work on modern digital landlines, dialup should work as well. Online sources do indicate that cellular networks are harder to use for dialup.

Hard to find out if dialup would work over digital landlines powered by ftth. Copper based landlines should work i imagine 🤔

i tried wtih some settings -
Then create you a new internet connection in Windows XP going to control panel-Network connections-
create a new connection. For user name or user identification use your telephone number without zero in the STDcode+yournumber.
Eg if you are in Bangalore and your number is 12345678, your userid would be 8012345678. And your password would be your phone number 12345678.
You can connect to BSNL dialup internet connection with the all India netone access number 172222.

got from some forum ..but dint work out.. then i saw my phone ring tone is engaged .. may be will try after i get a ringer tone and see .pls tell me any additional points if some knows. thanks
