there is not going to be any price war. the channels are expensive. they are not going to reduce prices for any particular company. no company is going to provide their services at a loss. it's the fact. you pay for what you get. the only thing a new player can do is provide more options. let me pick the channels i want individually and i would get the option i want. as simple as that.

I think, "pick what you want" option will be an expensive one!!!! Think - if you want 50 to 70 channels (which you see regularly in a month). You will be paying Rs. 5 (at the starting of this new technology) now calculate it: If you want 50 channels - 5 Rs. x 50 = Rs. 250 (only for getting 50 channels)If you want 70 channels - 5 Rs. x 70 = Rs. 350 (only for getting 70 channels) In BIG TV, we are paying Rs. 175 for almost 100 channels. It never happens. All agreement copy have to be submit to TRAI. Also don't expect anyone to come here is give 150+ chanenls for 200 to 300 Rs.
If we count price of DTH rates then all BIG TV channels price rich Rs 530, For Tata Sky it reach Rs 490 and Dish TV it reach Rs 500 around. But non of us paying such a price.

umm. most channels are free to air. i think around 80 are. the point is you would hardly have 20 paid channels that you watch. that means 100 rupees for the channels you watch.
and from what i know. on cas any channel can be priced a maximum of Rs. 5. trai ordered that.

No one gives option to select channels. I dont watch Sports channels which are high priced and no one gives option to unselect it and we have to pay for all crap channels which are free and they should not count the free DD channels saying they are offering it...
