Dish HD STB has a USB port at Back, What for ?

I've recently upgraded to DISH HD,HD STB is ZENEGA D 6000 HD.I see a USB port at the back of the STB, I tried inserting a USB Pen Drive, it shows activity light on pen drive but no display.manual also says its for playing content off usb, don't know if its support yet or not ?Is this STB box capable of playing content off a USB Drive ??can someone shed some light on this

Right now USB feature is blocked, Might be in future it will be working.
