Hi,
I am with D2H satellite TV.
These days I am getting a lot of calls from Dish TV - D2H satellite TV company. If I correctly understand D2H merged with Dish TV but still operates as a separate entity.

Agent - Your D2h STB will stop working as realignment of dish antenna needs to be done now. This will be done free of cost.
Me - All is good as of now, when the problem comes I will contact customer care.
Agent - You may not be able to call D2H customer care later
Agent - Later this service will come with a cost
Me - That's okay, do not do anything now. I will pay the cost when it is due. You may disconnect the call. As such due to OTT now I hardly watch TV. I might even close my connection in future!!!

Later I called D2H customer care and asked pointed questions to the agent, what is all this about...

He said Dish TV wants existing subscribers from D2H to join them instead of be with D2H, so for all those customers who have common STB, they will point the antenna to Dish TV satellite and change the setting in STB so that you are now a subscriber of Dish TV not D2H anymore.

Please make a note of this. It's almost a scam call to fool you into believing that you must get the antenna realignment done on priority.

I see both agents are saying same thing. Only that first agent didn't give reason for realignment.
It is possible that DishTV will stop D2H brand after sometime.

Really issue is d2h is going to merge with dish tv and they will close d2h in next year so the d2h user have to shift on dish tv . For active d2h users the dish tv custom care is making call to d2h users to change the d2h dish to dish tv direction that is free no cost will be taken from u just u need to change the direction of d2h to dish tv and u will get dish tv signals . By 2026 march d2h willbe permenantly blocked
