Hi All,
well on the occassion of this diwali dishtv has two new offer for their subscribers... First: 6 Months free subscription on new purchase of dishtv for Rs.3990. Second: 2 Months Free subscription for Rs.3150 . Offer valid from 13th Oct to 30th Nov and not applicable in Tamilnadu and pondicherry.

Why people in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry do not celebrate Diwali?

They do celebrate Diwali..but the fact is As per govt. policies No lottery and free offer are valid in Tamil Nadu and Pondy..therefore any offer which comes is not available on tamilnadu and Pondy.

oh i didnt know that TN has such laws. whats the reason?

I dont think there is such a law in TN. Sun Direct has also offered 2 months free subscription.

Well I got 6 months FREE! Subscription for one STB and 12 months on the other two... It was valid for TN just 3 months ago... and I never came to know that TN had laws prohibiting FREE! stuffs to consumers...
Its against the code of consumer theory... :|

Maybe Dish TV has some limitations as the "6 months FREE for 1st STB and 12 months FREE for 2nd STB" is still in action and selling hot cakes in TN and pondy.

After seeing Mr.Amuthan's post and Other's post, i think Mr.Amuthan asked the question in different context.

May be his question was meant to be like this:

Why ? people in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry do not celebrate Diwali?

Am i right Mr.Amuthan ?

I guess people are smart enough to understand what Amuthan wanted to convey...........:cool:But seriously, is there such a "stupid" law in TN & Pondicherry?
