I have a Syrotech router. I am running nginx on one of my machines. When I am forwarding the ports 80 and 443 to my local machine's ip, it is not working. But when I am setting DMZ and specifying my local ip, it works fine. Now I know that DMZ would make my device vulnerable. So how to get through this issue? Please help! Thanks

One solution I used earlier - I connected a secondary router to my main syrotech ont/GPON one and setup DMZ for the secondary router then in the secondary router, I forwarded the relevant ports and it worked. This way it will atleast be a bit secure but the secondary router (TP-Link) only supports 100Mbs negotiation, so it throttles the bandwidth. And I guess that would also introduce some latency.

I just tried to forward port 443 with my setup and it was successful. Are you unable to forward other ports or just 443 and 80?
