Do all DTH Service providers torture their customers?
Tata Sky has a peculiar method of trying to detect if the connection of any Tata Sky customer has been bugged to steal signals for feeding to the local Cable Operator. They flash every few minutes an ID number of every customer on his screen. Simultaneously, a scrolling message appears asking help from any Cable viewer of the stolen signals (channels), asking him to report the flashing ID number to Tata Sky on the phone number provided in the scrolling message.

The box of the flashing ID number is quite huge, appears in constantly changing random locations on the screen and occupies one-fifth of the width and one-fifth of the height of the screen. Annoyingly, it may cover the beautiful eyes of a heroine or the private parts of other characters or the turban of the Prime Minister: Tata Sky cares two hoots.
Tata Sky could be a little considerate and flash the signal only on the top or the bottom edge of the screen and let viewers have the pleasure of viewing their choice programs without such massacre.
