i have a query, may be vy silly but disturbing me:For getting BB connected Switch on power - switch on UPS -switch on CPU - Switch on Type II Modem (Nokia) - PC gets booted - by this time type ii modem yellow light is stable - connect BB is clicked - but the display stands still at - connecting thru ppoe... it never gets conencted and showing redial-cancel display.then i switch off and on the modem - wait for the stable yellow light - reconnect bb - id/pw verified and registered and bb connected.why this is happening?(but occasionally the connection is thru in steps mentioned in 1).is there any problem with my system?:frown:awaiting yr guidance

oh !!!You cannot connect before the Yellow light ( named as link ) is stable. Please do not try to connect before that.

hey u see the yellow light whatever u call it ..
The Yellow light is actually shows that its ready to send data into ADSL line ..... man u r trying before it was ready :dance:

i try to connect bb only after the yellow lamp is stable.

my query was, when i switch on the modem while the pc is booting,
-after the yellow lamp becomes stable and i try conencting bb -
it is not connecting.
why this is happening.

whereas, i switch off and switch on again and when the yellow lamp is stable, i try to connect bb and it gets connected.

( you enter User Id and Password in a dialer window )

or
The internet is connected when you
switch on the computer and modem?

Type II Nokia could be C2110 and may need a FW update.

I have the dialer connection and the internet is connected/disconnected manually
Mine is Nokia-Siemans SL2-141 Type II modem.
However, will check and revert.

If you use a dialler, please delete the present one and start with a new one. It may help at times.
