Does anybody Install windows 7 on Pentium-IV using 512 MB RAM

are you serious? playing HD videos on a P4? that too in Windows 7?

Yes, i have dual OS, Windows 7 and windows XP. In windows XP, if i try to play the HD movies, it goes to blank screen, or some times my system will restarted. But in Windows7, it plays but it struck.

I am having CRT monitor, i think if i change to LCD Monitor then i am able to play smoothly. :huh:
 
DUDE. HD videos should work fine on a CRT. you need a better processor, and probably more RAM.
 
If CRT is not the prob, then the prob is in my display card. Its old one, it will not support screen saver in Windows7.
 
Running W7 on PIV ! What's the use even if you are able to install and run it ?I had a C2D processor ~2GHz and before installing W7 I upgraded the RAM from 1 to 2 GB as I was worried about its performance.

When compare to Windows XP, I feel better performance in Windows 7. Now i am using only Windows 7, i never boot to windows XP.
 
I've used win 7 earlier on a old laptop which had celeron 1.4ghz with 512MB Ram.it was workable, but not smooth at all.
