Doesn't auto connect my Internet

I am not much of tech person but my BSNL broadband doesn't auto connect after my brother altered the settings from the modem. Now I have to manually give the TCP/IP properties. The modem is SmartAx MT882. I want auto detect and connect. Thank you.

Just press the reset button present in the back side of the modem using a sharp thing, the settings of the modem will be restored to default.

After resetting, if you need you may refer to this !
You have to select 0 and 35 WAN ppp/PPPoE
enter UserId without @ bsnl.in and PW etc .

1.How do you connect to Internet now ?
2. Are you using a dialer and entering your User ID
and password ?
3. You wanted Auto connect. Then in modem your UserId and
PW are entered in the WAN page.

I just plug my lan wire and it connects provided that I have manually added my tcp/ip properties.

Presume:
Start /Network/LAN/ Properties
TCP/iP
Properties
Here you enter every time to connect .
Confirm and post the details here.

2. Else you can select obtain IP address automatically
and DNS also automatically. Apply SAVE.

3. If you get connected normally to Internet
START/ RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all
Post data here..
first entry your computers IP usually 192.168.1. X ( X= 2 to 20)
second entry subnet usually 255.255.255.0
Third entry your Modem gateway : usually 192.168.1.1

4. Do you know how to access the modem settings page ?
seen the links given earlier ?
5.UserID and PW entered in modem
can be obtained from BSNL also.
6. Confirm you did not reset the modem, by pressing the
reset .
