Doubt regarding new connection.

I have applied for Home 500 plan before a week.The employee said that he will come and configure the modem only if the username and the password gets created for my account. i want to know... 1)I diddn't pay any amount when I applied for broadband;Then how can I pay the charges for modem?(Whether through the first month's bill) 2)Whether BSNL mail me the username and password? 3)If it is true,then how long it will take?(To mail the username & pwd) I am confused please help me.....

It took 11 months for my Dataone H500 Plan.:wall: I was asking almost evryday on 1500 (tollfree)for my connection details. Just keep calling 1500 :thumbsup:

As i am using my neighbour's landline for broadband connection,
Since you have a modem, go to the exchange and say you don't need a modem and ask for userID/ password and an ADSL splitter. (and for usage check. later 14digit portal ID ). Change ID and pW in WAN page from existing one without adding @ bsnl.in
IF the telephone line has been activated and you are connected now. . call 1800 424 1600 may be re directed to 1500. Quote application receipt number.
All billing after use for a month or part thereof . see below for details.

I didn't have a modem;I mistyped there.. I need to clarify whether they give the modem once the username and the pwd gets mailed to me.....?

If you are confident of programming the modem, go to the exchange and follow up.
Giving wrong/misleading information may upset contributer's here, and you won't get any response.
How you used your neighbour's LL and used broadband connection without a modem ? If it was the neighbour's you could have mentioned it here, saying he wants to use it/surrender it etc.
No email will be sent to you by BSNL.
What email address you gave in your application ? xxxxx @ yahoo.co.in or yyyyyy @ hotmail.com etc
You did not confirm whether Telephone line installed.

My neighbour didn't have a broadband connection; They just have a landline. I am going to use this LL for new broadband connection. I didn't have a modem and i need to know the procedure for getting modem,username and pwd.(Any hierarchy)?

@baluparamaraj i guess bsnl will come to your place one day with the user name and password and the modem and set it up for you!!they normally dont email you. as far as i know.And you will be charged the amount in the next month's bill

they dont email the id and pw. they will call the customer by phone and give the details

I have bought a new Telenet ADSL2 + Router. Whether this type is good for dataone connectivity? When i have called the employee from BSNL he said that he had send my broadband request for userid and password creation. How long it will take?????? Any suggestions?
