Had seen the Hindi part 1, so was interested in watching Malayalam part 2 when it came on prime, but kept deferring and while i did start twice and stopped in 15-20 mins, despite the past experience of knowing payoff will be good.

With an imminent release and ads of the Hindi version showing up all over, decided to visit and watch this weekend.

Overall same experience as past one. It was a good watch, though a slow burn.

Spoiler: Not a spoiler as such, but still

I did feel they missed out on showcasing him as being even more smarter and more well planned.

I mean yeah he is still shown as smart, but also a lot factored on luck, which they too acknowledged.

I watched both 1 and 2 Malayalam version starring Mohanlal. 2 felt like a drag. 1 was much better.

The first one was drag for 45 mins, then it stayed on high gear.

This one pretended to up the gear to the next level a couple of times, but fell back and then only last 30 mins was on high gear.

Like i said they missed quite some opportunities.
