error 815 in bsnl broadband in vista

Hi, I newly updated laptop with windows Vista in it. I got a BSNL broad band connection with Ethernet modem (UT300R2U with ADSL2 + Modem). I configured the router and whne i try to connect to internet it gives me an error : 815 Remote server is not reponding . This could be caused by invalid value for service name field. I am not sure how to fix this issue.. Cna anybody help me on this ..? Thanks in advancedr.shivdev

go to http://192.168.1.1 .. then go to WAN page.. there go to vpi/vci 0/35 and ensure it is set to "bridging"

its on bridgingsomeone told me it could be dhcp problem idont know what is dissomeone provided me ur link and i changed d setings of modem as u said but same error is cuming again. the settings that u hav provided to setup automatic mode.plz reply bsnl guys dont know anything

VISTA:In Network page if already any other ready made connection/s is/are available delete one by one, or all.Make New Dial up connection or LAN connection .

if you want bridged mode, then you should keep your modem in bridged mode.. you are able to access http://192.168.1.1 right?? create a new connection(dialer) under control panel->network connections and then try again
