Ethernet cable drops to 100/100 after some time

Did you try connecting that cable to a different device? I had a similar issue with one of my old gaming rigs, which I turned into a NAS/Minecraft server. The connection would completely drop out and only work if I switched my adapter’s duplex mode from 1.0 Gbps to 100Mbps Full Duplex.
Turns out the Ethernet port itself had an issue. I picked up a cheap 1-Gig PCIe card for ₹899, and that fixed it. Check the cable first, then the device. You might also want to update your BIOS just to be sure.

The issue didnt get resolved ,i just remembered that this cable from fedus
Gave me a lot of troubles especially with playing counter strike for the past 1.5 years

All this time I thought its lord gaben troubling me but nope its very much the cable’s fault as it keeps switching to 100/100 instead of 1000/1000
 
There is one from Ugreen but its really expensive

And i dont feel like buying fedus again ,as i saw someone having the same 100/100 issue after a few months

If you want to save on costs, try calling your internet provider or a local computer/CCTV technician to make you a Cat6 cable. It’s usually cheaper and just as reliable. I bought 50 meters of Cat6 cable (D-Link), 5 pairs of RJ45 male plugs and a crimping tool for around 2.2k. I make my own cables :D
