Excitel Broadband is working on using IPv6 on their network

you can directly(open ports) connect with other ipv6 users, for ipv4 users you will get nat

Basically if you don't use dual stack you cannot connect with users, servers which are only using ipv6/4 .

ex- some govt website which is only running on ipv4, you will not be able to connect to it with only ipv6 .

oh okay. so it is not really a full proof solution. we wont be benefited from this solution for services that dont use ipv6 but require open ports.

steam servers still dont support ipv6 .
most online games still dont support ipv6.

i was really excited about this upcoming feature but now i am just disappointed.

well no isp can do anything about that because there are just not enough ipv4 address available for everyone to have so its really fault of services that still don't support it, ffs this problem was known since 90s .

If anyone wants to learn more about how it all works, read RFC 7040, RFC 7596 & NAT64.
