I think this started last week. I found my Excitel router powered off, even though it’s connected to a UPS with a three-hour backup. Since Saturday, most apps and websites have been loading slowly. My 400 Mbps connection's upload speed has dropped to between 5 and 30 Mbps, occasionally hitting 200 Mbps. I opened a support ticket, but as usual, there has been no response. ISPs must stop using custom firmware that contains intentional backdoors used to monitor and control user activity.
Stupid Excitel and other local ISP's using cheap Syrotech, GX, optilink, Netlink, ppc or whatever TDH brand with Chinese firmware are getting a taste of their own medicine. Good good, hope more users start complaining and leaving them so they improve this front. Scammers always using 2nd hand junk routers at customer premises.
The situation is far more worse actually, on FB there are various Indian ISP groups wherein I have seen many a times one or two LCO showcasing their huge collection of cheap dual band routers mostly Netlink, TP-Link, GX and they proudly serve these in bulk.
As someone noticed on the socials, their app is not working at the moment. Can't file ticket without app as they removed that feature from the website. Lodu company.
For me the best is ACT when I leave Excitel, I'll join them. So far I've seen their services the best in my city + the sales guy was soooo nice like I asked him 200+ questions for a month and he answered them all without bugging me when I'll install it. So most probably December 2019 - December 2026 are going to be my excitel years .
