Yes agree with @JB701 . First call lco or wait for some ads or flyers announcing the excitel fiber availablity. This page of fiber has been there for me February this year but as per LCO no signs of fiber yet. Every start of the month they say end of month but it never comes.

My LCO doesn't provide fiber cuz he has his own piece of shit low quality isp which he over sells and makes more money out of.

yes i know but i did talk to my lco and he said that from 27th, users will be able to upgrade. im not gonna pay anything until i get a confirmation from their side about 750rs onu being available.

I made a post recently about how the LCO upgraded my wiring to fiber due to frequent disconnection but I am still on REELTIME plans so technically not official Excitel fiber just that the infra was upgraded to fiber by LCO (@ Rs. 500).

Today the house next door applied for a connection through Excitel's website and they got the official Excitel Fiber installed (with fiber plans in the Excitel app). But I think the LCO who installed the Excitel Fiber next door is different from my LCO, is it normal for multiple LCOs to serve the same area? And more importantly should I upgrade to official Excitel FIber? Currently I am on fiber infrastructure with REELTIME plans (My LCO is alright, wanted to stick with him if possible) and are the fiber plans comparatively cheaper than REELTIME?

Maybe I should enquire if my current LCO provides Excitel Fiber.

You get more speeds for the same price. 300mbps for the same price as 100mbps on fiber.

I will talk to my current LCO if he can provide the official Excitel fiber, because I am not sure about the other LCOs track record. Will shifting to Excitel's fiber require re wiring or just chaning the ONU? the current dumb onu works fine, wonder if the same will be available when changing. The house next door got the 2000 double band router ONU.
