  1. Educate the customer about the speed variation is 2.4 and 5G.
  2. Educate about the distance from ONU.
  3. Educate about the number of devices connected.
  4. Educate the user about the need to reboot the device.

With your district I can only see BSNL or Excell media , use this Sanchar Saathi Authorized ISPs Display and see if any other service provider is there for your area or not and change boats if possible else talk with your LCO who provided this line.

Moreover did any of the solutions above worked? let us know

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, I’m unable to test any of them because the router is currently not working. It stopped functioning while I was performing a reset, and Excitel has not replaced the router since then.

As a result, the service has been completely unusable
I would like to know how to request a refund money for my 123 remaining days. i have asked them to refund they are denying saying its a prepaid account no refund are given for remaining unused days

Any guidance on the refund process or escalation path would be appreciated.

Thank you.

If they are denying then a sureshot way is to register a complaint on PGPORTAL with your broadband id. Money refund is guaranteed.

Hats off to my Excitel local provider 👏 — he was extremely supportive and even gave me his own router and his plan temporarily until Excitel resolves my issue.

With the router issue ruled out, I can now officially confirm that Excitel is limiting my YouTube speed to ~5 Mbps. This explains why 4K videos don’t stream properly on YouTube, while other OTT platforms work fine.

Posting this update in case it helps others facing a similar issue.

it was not limited to youtube they did it to whatsapp as well. everything in whatsapp was slow downloading photos videos status etc.. documents

such an annoying to know it was excitel limting it.

planning to shift to BSNL Fiber as they are giving higher limits than airtel and jio

150mbps 4tb
200mbps 5tb
250mbps 6tb etc
