I want to share my recent Jio AirFibre experience and express frustration with the 1000GB data cap. My family primarily uses Jio TV STB, and I rely on it for work-from-home. Unfortunately, we've hit the 1000GB limit, and it's a hassle. Data caps are common, but Jio's lack of plan flexibility through their web or app disappoints. Other providers offer easy adjustments. Hoping Jio improves plan management for user-friendliness and better satisfaction.

I don't think JioAirfiber Plans are affordable at all. They have a ridiculous lock-in period just to cover the equipment cost and the plans are at par with Jio Fiber but with a data cap of 1000GB.
This is what happens when you just paste AI generated answers without thinking. I am not targeting anyone personally but these kind of responses are very annoying to read and don't seem to add any value to the discussion. Everything could have been summed up in less than 30 words if written manually.

We can keep hoping for better things at Reliance. But, the day will never come. So, is the solution to OP.

Reliance is known to ignore the interest of the consumers and the share holders for years. Only some smart people learned to play along with Reliance and was able to make profits and was able to utilise certain services for free.

I use unlimited 5g internet from both Jio and Airtel. I have no use of Air Fiber from both companies until they start charging for mobile 5g.

Reliance is superior in tech. However, with Airtel, some real people are still there to call themselves as customer care executives. We just may not know how to get things done from them.

As a work from home guy for over a decade, I still prefer 4g (from Vi) and 3g from BSNL. Both are far reliable than (free) 5G from other two. 4g from Airtel and Jio is rock solid, though.

1tb is a very low FUP cap in today’s post corona world. Heck even I am close to hitting 2tb cap of my internet cable provider.

Just wondering, are ISPs known to fake the data usage? Would Jio show 1000 GB consumed even though it wasn't yet?

There have been allegations of fake data usage on various ISPs like ACT and Tata Play Fiber via several posts on this forum. I don't see any reason why Jio won't do the same. Airtel doesn't have any FUP limit on Fiber broadband services afaik, it just says unlimited data on the Airtel Thanks App so it doesn't matter even if they show wrong data consumption although there's no way to check it.

Okay, then why they just mention 'unlimited' on their App and website? I am unable to find my data usage on the App or Bill. Is there a way to check that?

On the other hand, I am able to see my data usage on Tata Play Fiber via their App although I am not sure if it's correct. It also says xxxGB out of unlimited.
