.......................................................I don't think even Airtel would charge per GB of IPTV watched :D

Umm.... Tata DOCOMO TV, and all the other TV services operating over 3G and High speed CDMA(Correct name is HSDPA I think) do charge a monthly fee per channel, and datatransfer costs as well

HSDPA is a 3G technology which follows the GSM standard called WCDMA; but unrelated to CDMA. AFAIK, Docomo isn't running on CDMA, but Tata Indicom? is.

However TV over wireless is different. If everyone watches TV over their 3G connections then there'll be no room on the network for things like... voice calling and SMS.

I thought hayai would only provide me an Fastest internet Connection, Unfortunately Beam Fiber Does that for me now!! But surely looking forward at "DATA PLANS" of Hayai in hyderabad.

I suppose we'll have to see what the Diwali fairies bring, won't we?

Ahem.. ahem.... your starters should be from 15mbit/s @ RS 2000 or else it wont work.. Already 5-10mbit/s are coming under Rs 1000.

Sure, with a 30GB fair usage policy I'll do even 1Gbit/s for that price - that's what the infrastructure is being built to handle.

Remember my signature: It's not about the speed, it's about the data. At Rs2k I could upgrade the speeds to 20, 50, 100Mbit/s or beyond; but the FUP would remain approximately the same (as in, divide the price by 10 and this can be considered fair).

Yes, eventually I would like to see us having plans only Rs500 apart instead of Rs1000 apart - starting at Rs1500 and going up to Rs3000 for 25, 50, 100 and 200mbit/s respectively and an FUP so high that no-one should reach it. But right now? Not yet.
