I first reset the router set my Physical address as mentioned in the method then run the command without --new flag. It'll then open telnet access and give u temporary telnet creds use them to login to shell and type command for reset.

@SpeedxThunder @Rex_5100 I have a Airtel ZTE Router version: F670LV9.0 V9.0.10P18N2B

Been trying to get the Telnet to work but not able to.

Tried the Github: GitHub - stich86/zteOnu: Little program that opens telnet on ZTE ONU\CPE. Downloaded the zteOnu.exe and ran it in CMD. That gives me a user name and pass but still not able to login to Telnet using PowerShell.

Gives me an error: Connecting To 192.168.1.1...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed

Please guide me so I can remove the Airtel restrictions and use this router as a extender. Thanks

PS: I am Age 50 and am no struggling with tech.

@prabin This command will lock down the rounter again - upgradetest sdefconf 35.

To unlock router use these command - upgradetest sdefconf 198. This will unlock router and you can do custom settings on 192.168.1.1.

@BornArcher8 hey man! would like to confirm a few things regarding pppoe creds and using the zteonu tool,

• Does the tool unlock bridge mode capability and does the router still work fine on its own if we are not using it in bridge mode
• Regarding the pppoe creds, we can see the username right in the ui but where is the password in the ebill like everyone says, maybe I'm blind but I dont see it.

@ghostrox69 The tool just gives you telnet access we can unlock the ont using telnet. After unlocking we can put the ont in bridge mode and use an external router or use the ont for routing too (without bridge mode). It works both ways.

The PPPoE password in my case was just my Airtel account number. You can find your Airtel account number in ebill or just in the Airtel app.
