Thats right, FB is beta testing digital assistant. I said that with integrating Uber and perhaps more such ecommerce services later, FB is gathering all data needed to launch there digital assistant soon. But I wonder who would take it? Apple has Siri, while Android has Google Now. And FB wont launch it on Windows. So who would actually use it?
M actually sounds like a personal assistant. Rest of the services do not come close if Facebook's claims are accurate. They are mostly powered by search engines to deliver personalized results. But they are not yet designed to perform tasks for you like the Facebook's claims.
ordering an uber from an app is not a big deal. uber is already integrated into multiple apps including zomato. i am sure telegram people can add a similar functionality in a matter of hours because uber has an official api for such a feature.
