Hello everyone, I've
been using excitel from 3 months now. I am facing buffering issues since installation. It happens any time randomly, on insta, telegram, youtube, or any other sites. Even file downloads halts and then begins after a minute or two sometimes. I've run ping tests quite a lot of times on my own and also while troubleshooting remotely by excitel. Speedtest results are as per plan, downloads speeds are also similar .Excitel says internet is fine and their usual server excuse but there is a ping spike every 70-118 seconds. The ping goes around 250ms then goes back to normal. For instance 266 ms then 82 ms then 1ms. It even had 2 packets saying request timed out.This is when i ping the router(ping 192.168.1.1 -t).I do not face the buffering issues everytime, but i always face lags while gaming(World of tanks console).It works fine on different connection. It almost always seem to happen on 2.4Ghz network(i get around 60 Mbps upload 80 Mbps download on 2.4 Ghz).I usually keep 5Ghz off.I am using the default settings that installation guy did. I have even stopped recharging since issue was not being resolved and excitel Cc were closing my complaints without any resolution. It makes internet quite unusable for that period of time and quite a problem(it's my main). Got rid of airtel after 8yrs. Recently I've got modem changed from genexis to optilink. Even then issue is same. Please suggest something about it ?
Also i couldn't find a way to disable "excitel.com" ssid via config file or telnet. If there a new method pls share with me. Can also dm me.
Ps:- This is the first time I'm posting any thread in a forum so please guide me if had made any mistakes. I've read do's and don'ts and will try to follow them. Also I don't know much about networking and stuff. So please suggest any thread where i can find such info compiled.Any other suggestions most welcome.
