There is no revenue. Ai bots are killing the servers.

I think it's mostly for engagement because I got an email a few days ago asking me to post a similar thread I posted here( TPF vs Airtel) . tbh idk which forum you guys are talking about exactly.
This forum would be a great archive to read for "broadband enthusiasts" in India if it is ever shutdown. Doesn't make sense to run it if it's not generating revenue.

we should not close the forum. Create some premium features and ask users to subscribe. this will generate revenue.

@Rickysin Oh, yes. I am quite active there, though I don't post the same stuff on both forums, and even if I do, the contents are not copied pasted.

operational costs are not much. i can handle that expense. problem is to keep an eye on it and deal with the bots. there is just no way to keep the forum running on autopilot these days.

Navjot moved the forum to a new server today. Seems to be doing well as it usually does for a while on a fresh install lol. If this one is pain to manage, I'm probably done.

@Sushubh Not using Cloudflare CDN now? No wonder IBF is so fast on JioFiber.

Cloudflare has become a bottleneck I think. I guess their indian servers are fucked. Planning to avoid using it as much as I can

For whatever reason kubuntu default archives started using CF cdn and I get nearly full 1gbit on my tata play connection
