fiber lines are deliberately cut and black junction box is being stolen ! what could be done ?

my lco working late hours today , fixing all the lines as other customers were torturing them, its been only a day with no internet , but still the lco called me at 10 30 pm ! and asked me if line is up ! , never had this experience with copper adsl lines,if its gone - it took like atleast 2ds-2 weeks , even a month to get it fixed .
now the line is up , they fixed it, i really felt sad for them .
the staff said me , the lines look deliberately cut and black junction box is stolen . most of times this is happening at night times - mostly at weekends . the junction box was taken exactly where there is no surveillance cam , there is no use of goin at one place ,i mean the po po , they wont support such cases they say . sad , very sad for them.
i complained in twitter , but i dont think much attention would be given , so for real change to happen , where i might take this ... if any had experience on this things , please light to me , i want it to be online, i am not in a condition to go in person to offices. thank you.

I never felt sad for these greedy LCOs.
 
haha lol , they never asked a penny to me, just 500 for a modem with no wifi , thats it. mine was a conversion from adsl to fiber . they always answered when i called , polite and rectifies the problem within a day or next day . can you imagine they working at night around 10 30 pm ! and calling me to see ifs up .seriously they could have said to customers .. we would come next day but really lol i have no idea who tortured them to work at that late hours .. but we have a real problem of this drainage vehicle jcb diggers really messing up the wires .
by the way ya i can really relate to your feeling , i have read so much horror stories about lco in here forums , i was so scared ! but these guys are wow ! to me, totally unexpected ! i am satisfied completely :))
 
Mine story is bit different. In our area, (H.P.) Recently Land Slides occurs which cause to down of BSNL, JIO, Airtel and other ISPs due to breakage of fiber wires all over along with all Towers non-working.
After 48 hours, Only BSNL was the one which got turned ON and able to provide service in whole district, Following JIO and Other ISPs took over 1 month to get there connection of Fiber back in our area (Mobile Towers got activated after 2 weeks)
This is the only reason why I got myself BSNL in place of other ISPs due to immediate repair and technical team assistant helps our District to get the internet access recovered asap.
Also, Private ISPs got pathetic technical support, There Engineers specially JIO one doesn't know anything about any technical term whenever complaint regarding Latency, Down Speed, Port Forwarding etc. are put up on the complaint and an Engineer visit and says that we don't know or either they can't do it. Doesn't expected this from Private ISPs whereas when i contact BSNL, There one Engineer visited our home next day and got my Port Forwarding to required server.

There are many limitations on JIO Fiber router. Nothing can be configured or if did? It will never work, They got Router Login but if made changes, it got reset automatically. There NAT Type : Strict makes me suffer from playing Console as well as PC Games or Even if i try to particular server which required Moderate NAT needs to be used through Mobile Data (All Mobile Towers are setup for Moderate NAT Type)

That's why experience from 3 ISPs currently in use by me. ;)
 
update - again today - black junction box cut and gone stolen . this is being done especially on week ends , fri sat evenings ,or sun afternoons ! then have to wait till monday afternoon for this to get rectified . the line man says they are doing it deliberately , dont know what to do .! from the start of this connection - for my area its been around like 3 times now . and its been done in other ares too !
 
looks like this is happening more places - "Overhead cables of BSNL were cut off and stolen reportedly by private cable operators in Selaiyur. A complaint has been lodged at the Selaiyur police station. "
@Lucifer96 i did tell them about this, they said its no use , they listen only to the rich and influenced ones , i told them take signature of every customer around , and submit to exchange and local popo , but they are not ready for this.
another instance - the line man was talking in phone to someone saying it just cost some 100-200rs black box , no idea why they keep doing this , cutting lines , stealing black box , he sounded so damm sad, really its so bad , those cables cant be used once crushed or broken bent , its a loss , and this balck junc boxes , damm it , now cops have to patrol on these too , just need those damm surveliance cams in all nooke and corners !
 
Try to place a security camera at a strategic location. Be very careful though, you might get only one chance at this!
 
If you're fine by it then ask them to put that black box on your terrace. Nobody will be able to reach it or steal it. Mine is on my neighbours terrace and they lock the main door at night.
 
update - again this happen this month on 2nd sep 2024 , fixed it 3rd before 12pm .again the same thing ! box stolen wires cut . the staff tells no one cares, no ones asking taking this further to complaint legally , the owner of lco , or the bsnl staffs not hearing crap on this .. only they can talk about this , we and you , cant do anything about this .
i asked where is the location this happens - he says multiple place different times , take out the junction which supplies atleast 2-3 streets . just really have no idea how to stop this - i have no problem with my fiber - its best for me .
just this goons who try to sabotage fiber at weekends or may be at holidays , i do see the pattern here , they are hell bent to disrupt the connection at night times mostly . so no repair works can be done until next day , so whole night and half a day will be gone ,if its weekend - 1-2 days gone .
@!!..PD..!! well at my street end i see the black box untouched, never had a problem at my site , its in at streets , i did ask to check cctv , but that staff doenst have guts to interfere deep in it . who will ! ? unless you have some influence parites or cops or what not crap - this is so crazy
