@dhananjayk : Actually i dont consider it safe to purchase it from ebay as one of my friend was recently cheated on the same(they packed some old material and sent it to him and he had to face a whole lot of unexpected problems after that). Also, may be buying this phone from ebay may face problems such as unlocking and all.How was ur phone when u got it from ebay?
Its safe to purchase high value products on Ebay only from Powersellers. A powerseller has over 99% positive feedbacks. So chances of duping will be very less with them.
But now ebay has control on releasing transaction amount to seller. Ebay transfer money to ebay seller once you confirm a receipt of item.
You need to check everything and take some time before confirming a receipt.
If seller has duped you, you can very well claim a refund but such cases will be rare if you deal with a powerseller.
Last week i bought a room heater from a powerseller. Product was used and had rust on steel plates. I returned it and now filed a claim with ebay. Such things happen. But you need to have patience.

Phone i received had a factory seal. Its same as buying from univercell or sangitha. Bill has VAT component. I bought for 27.2k which i find lower compared to store price.
Also many retailer had no stock. This reason prompted me to buy on ebay.

Drawback of Nexus IMO- Expandable memory card slot is one reason. Also i dont like stock UI of Android and i was not sure when Nexus S would be officially launched in india, Hence bought Galaxy s.

well i paid the same price for N1 early last year and it came with 4GB storage. :P i am sort of ok getting 16GB in NS at the same price later last year. :P

as for ebay. i recently purchased a battery for my camera. costing around 2400 bucks. waiting for it to deliver. waiting to get the delivery details. ebay says that if the seller does not respond by jan 6, i can ask for a full refund. let's see how it goes.

@admin,What can we expect for same price next year? A dual core processor mobile with 1GB RAM and ~64GB Internal memory?

@dhananjayk : Did u face any unlocking issues that u had to deal with? or was it already fully unlocked. I'll go for it then :)

seems possible. :) if my financial conditions are fine and i find a buyer for google nexus s, i would consider upgrading again. i managed to sell my 10 month old N1 for 15K. i had invested around 30-32K on the N1 (dock, cover, zagg) so it was not a very good ROI. :(

Raise a claim tomorrow if you dont get shipping info from seller. Go to ebay.in and click on Guarantee (pic) > Raise a claim / View Updates > Login > Select Actions and submit claim.

I purchased an official phone distributed by Samsung India. On the box you can see manufacturer as Samsung South Korea and importer as Samsung india.
Phone is unlocked.
