Finally, there are Jio Posts coming up in my area. Should I shift from BSNL to Jio or not?

With BSNL, I get disconnections because their ONT reboot at random days or when the ip will change.

It is annoying because I need constant connection for work 24/7

but one thing I like is the ability to use my own router with NextDNS subscription.

One more important thing is that they reboot their entire network with it is 12AM on first day of every month. Does Jio do this as well? Why do they do this?

with jio you cant use your own router apart from using your other router as access point that's it and also they have started blocking other dns providers even they give you the option to change it but it will still use jio's default DNS
 
Surely ,JIO would be a better choice if you are facing issues with BSNL ,better support for upgrading /downgrading plans ,payment options and ease of accessing bundled OTTs are add-ons.
But ,I wud suggest to have JIO as trail for at least 15 days before disconnecting BSNL ,as JIO in your area is new ,its quite possible it can go sideways which includes added latency ,low speeds and disconnections.
Anyway ,JIO installation shud be free ,so verify from others also who might already have the JIO Connections.
 
JIO has it's pros and cons.
But uptime has been great for me with JIO.
It has hardly gone down for 1 hour in last 1 year and that's the only reason I am sticking with JIO.
Otherwise BSNL, Airtel(through LCO) and another local ISP are available in my area.
For home use JIO is reliable with uptime.
 
Go with Jio as you said BSNL is unreliable. Also with Jio you'll get better services but you'll be caged under it's set of rules & stuff.
