Firefox (119.0) on all computers in my network is having issues when connected via Jio.

e.g.
Github/reddit is stuck at "performing TLS handshake" for githubassets.com or i.redd.it
Some sites just timeout.
DevTools|Network tab on some sites: NS_ERROR_NET_TIMEOUT

All other apps and chromium browsers work fine on Jio. When connected via Airtel, Firefox also works fine. I have reset the router and used Firefox profile with no extensions. I have tested on mix of Windows 10/11/macOS Ethernet/WiFi Realtek/Broadcom/MediaTek NICs. The only common things when I face issues are Firefox and JioFiber.

Edit:
Happens irrespective of the DNS set whether its ISP's, Cloudflare or Google DNS-over-HTTPS.

Has any one else encountered this while using Firefox?

Same thing happens with my Hathway connection on firefox as well. Hathway's upstrem provider is Jio. Weirdly those same websites loads fine with chromium based browsers, like in your case. Disabling addons doesn't seem to have any effect.

To add more context, here I'll add sites where it happens and the domains which don't connect at first. It normally loads fine after 4-5 tries.

1. GitHub: github.githubassets.com subdomain
2. Reddit: www.redditstatic.com i.redd.it (images do not load on old.reddit.com)
3. Cloudflare docs URL: Example page
4. Eurogamer: Times out altogether

It may be due to Jio's DNS. Enable Secure DNS and try again.
For Firefox, in settings search "Enable Secure DNS using:" > Change it to "Max Protection" > Select Cloudflare under "Choose Selection" dropdown.

I have tried both Cloudflare as well as Google DoH.

And I was thinking there must be something weird with just me..
It's crazy why these random things fail by "so called" #1 ISP of India

Not sure whats the beef with Github. Too many subdomains are blocked in Jio. Earlier DNS over HTTPS seemed to work but now it seems there is a blanket ban on IP itself.

It's raw.githubusercontent.com and githubassets.com for me and this is on 4G. Randomly they won't load at all so I resort to accessing it though warp. I guess it's circle specific when it comes to jio. Based on reports by other members in some circles they hijack DNS and in some like mine they block the IP.

Do you face any issue when accessing those sites in firefox?
